Matías Langevin C.

Mr. Langevin focuses his practice on general corporate matters with an emphasis on cross border transactions in the areas of Capital Markets, Project Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions. Most recently he has represented local and foreign clients in different types of purchase and sale deals, including stock and asset transactions. He also has broad experience in capital markets transactions giving advice to local and international clients in debt and equity deals, including advice to the Republic of Chile in its sovereign bonds, registered transactions and private placements under the Rule 144A and Regulation S under the US Securities Act. On the Financing side Mr. Langevin has represented multiple lenders in a wide variety of finance transactions, with a highlight being a project finance related to the energy and infrastructure sector.

During 2009 and 2010 he practiced as a foreign associate in the New York at Shearman & Sterling in the Capital Markets Practice.

Mr. Langevin is the author, among other publications, of “Securities Market” chapter, Doing Business in Chile, The British Chilean Chamber of Commerce, Second Edition (2013) and “Securities Market” chapter, Doing Business in Chile, The British Chilean Chamber of Commerce, Third Edition (2017).

Member of the International Bar Association and officer of the Banking Committee.
