US$250 millon secured for road concession in Antofagasta

Swedish company Skanska AB secured funding for approximately US$250 million for the modernization of the road concession of Antofagasta.

The importance of this renewal is that in the short term the region will require new roadworks: the operations of the resort of Puerto de Mejillones and mining industry in the area, creating business in La Negra a 2000 enclave of 400 hectares located 20 kilometers from the city of Antofagasta waiting to be one of the world’s leading mining centers.

The transaction was endorsed by Santander, CorpBanca, BCI and BBVA banks, who were advised by Morales & Besa partners Pedro Garcia M., Myriam Barahona A. and associate Kattanya Jablonski.

Skanska AB, through its subsidiary Concessionaire Autopistas de Antofagasta SA was advised by Santander GBM financially and Rodrigo Sepúlvedas´ firm Cariola, Diez & Pérez Cotapos.
