Juan Carlos Valdivieso T.

Mr. Valdivieso concentrates his practice in matters related to the energy industry, in both their transactional and regulatory aspects. He has focused his career in advising generation projects in all stages of development, including in obtaining permits and concessions, procuring its financing, M&A transactions, and O&M issues. He also has experience in corporate and commercial matters, advising both local and foreign companies.

Mr. Valdivieso joined Morales & Besa in 2020. Prior to that, between the years 2017 and 2020, he was the General Counsel of Prime Energía, a developer and operator of generation facilities. He began his career as an associate with Arteaga Gorziglia in Santiago (2011-2014) and as a foreign advisor with Holland Knight LLP in Miami, FL (2015-2016).

He is a member of the Chilean Bar (Colegio de Abogados), and in the past acted as a deputy board member of the Chilean Association of Generation Companies, and part of its Legal Committee.
