Inauguration ceremony of Bank of China Agency in Chile

The team that obtained the authorization and license for Bank of China, Agency in Chile, could begin to operate in our country, Guillermo Morales, Ignacio Menchaca and María José Rojas, participated in the opening ceremony, held on June 6, 2018 at the Hotel W. The offices of this entity are operational in the Torre Costanera Center.

It should be noted that the resolution of the Superintendency, authorizing the operation of Bank of China, Agency in Chile, was issued on March 12, 2018, signalling the successful completion of a 2 years process comprising several stages of incremental exigencies of the regulator. This being the third banking license granted by the SBIF in the last three years.

Bank of China Ltd. is the oldest bank in China and one of the four largest commercial banks owned by the State of the People’s Republic. It currently operates in more than 50 countries and regions.
