Morales & Besa advised Ruta de los Ríos Concessionaire S.A in obtaining financing for additional works

Morales & Besa successfully advised Ruta de los Ríos Concesionaria S.A, company of the Intervial Group, regarding the amendment to current loans granted by Banco Crédito e Inversiones (BCI), Banco BICE, and Banco Security, and additional financing granted by Banco de Crédito e Inversiones and Banco BICE for the execution of additional works related to the public work concession “Concesión Internacional Ruta 5 Temuco Río Bueno” which were required in the context of the execution of a new ad-referendum agreement of the Concession entered into the company and the Ministry of Public Works.

Isa Intervial Chile, from Grupo Intervial, is the largest operator of intercity road concessions across the country. The Ruta de los Rios reaches a coverage of 172 kilometers and links the regions from La Araucanía to Los Ríos in the south of Chile.

The additional financing was granted in the context of the negotiation of a new ad-referendum agreement for the execution of additional works on the Concession, and it implied the amendment of the original credit agreement and the amendment of the security documents previously granted, in order to secure the obligations assumed under the new financing.
