Morales & Besa incorporated the constitutionalist Rodrigo Delaveau

The lawyer, professor of Constitutional Law, JSD and LLM of the University of Chicago, joined the law firm Morales & Besa on Monday, March 7.

Rodrigo Delaveau has an outstanding professional career with more than 20 years of experience, working in legal practice, law firms and in-house legal counsel in both public and private institutions. He studied Law at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, where he also obtained a master’s degree (LLM) in Public Law. He obtained the degrees of Doctor of Jurisprudence (JSD) and Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Chicago and was awarded the Russel Baker Scholarship Fund for doctoral studies and the Coase Sandor Institute for Law & Economics courses offered by the International Program of the University of Chicago Law School.

Rodrigo Delaveau is currently Professor of Comparative Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago Law School and Professor of Constitutional Law at the Law schools of the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, Universidad de Chile and Universidad de Los Andes. He is also a regular lecturer at national and international seminars on constitutional issues and public law. He is an expert in constitutional law, economic analysis of public and regulatory Law, with experience in law reports and public litigation. Rodrigo was a member of the Commission appointed by the Chamber of Deputies of Chile for the drafting of a new Bill of Procedure for the Appeal for Constitutional Protection. During 2019 he was appointed Deputy Justice  as of the Constitutional Court of Chile (Tribunal Constitucional) and a year later he was appointed co-representative of the Court before the Venice Commission, as well as manager of the agreement signed between the Constitutional Court and the Comparative Constitutions Project.
