Morales & Besa successfully advised Marsol on the registration of trademarks for its new products

Morales & Besa successfully advised Marsol in the registration of trademarks for its new products, protecting the company’s commercial interests despite the fact that in the first instance the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI) considered them to be descriptive trademarks, and therefore, not registrable.
The registration obtained by Morales & Besa was intended for four mixed trademarks “Smart+Kitchen” and the word mark “Paywash”, after having been rejected by the INAPI, a decision that was reversed by the Industrial Property Court.
The Morales & Besa team that participated in the transaction was led by partner Edmundo Varas, along with senior associate Juan Ignacio Eymin (litigation) and associate Marco Correa.
